No dude, know your facts, you can't even have Akuma challenge you without going through the whole mode in the hardest difficulty which is also the standard Arcade difficulty across usually all cabinet machines.

I replaced it, my copy of SSFT2 collection 1 on PSX for some reason did not play the music - it was a scratched CD copy.

The only way to vs Akuma though is via the hardest setting. I do accept that I used cheap shots to get the win, doing those crazy hit combo chains is way too hard. Akuma was jumping everywhere with the mid air hadoukens and not giving any space at all, i did lose a round to him.

in console versions as well as arcade you could choose the speed setting...1, 2, or3
