i remember being in college when this song was released. we were all affected, confused, and amused. then i remember visiting a friend in San Jose, discussing Simone de Beauvoir and Anais Nin. Lloyd Cole is 2am music... xoxo

I was 15 when 'Rattlesnakes' was released. For people like me who felt like we were living on an alien planet through the New Romantic era bands like the Commotions and The Smiths reawakened our love of music. I came across my old cassette of this album at my parents and these songs still sound inspiring - I didn't have a clue back in 1984 when Lloyd was asking if I was ready to be heartbroken, but I sure as hell know now. Great band.

I saw Lloyd Cole and the Commotions at Glastonbury, 1986. They were superb.

Well cChrists you have touched a nerve with a lot of people, me included. This was the music of my formative years, and I am still not in jail LOL. A lot of us appreciate the tunes from our youth...and the many good memories, with some real good friends visiting from Rhode Island, my old Jeep, beaches, bonfires and the Big Dipper. Dear God, I acctualy remember that...thanks again.

Well I'm 35 years old and I share the same experience regarding Lloyd Cole and Lloyd Cole & The Commotions music. :) The best of Lloyd Cole & The Commotions has a permanent place in my car's cd changer, all the other cd's are changed regularly. Lloyd Cole rules!!!

Lloyd Cole's music saved my life when i was a teenager (i'm 30 years old now). I bought their first album when i was 11 years old, and i still have all of then. So i'm paying my tribute to him uploadind his videos to share his music and poetry. I'm fortunate enough to have saw his concerts and met him. An amazing person.
