Yes the actual piece comes from tchaikovsky's piano concerto in b flat minor.

Should say, too, it was not Freddy Martin's very first hit; he first scored with "April In Paris" in 1933 and the following year hit #1 with "I Saw Stars".

Your comment is correct singleman. The label on my 78 (what is left of it) says "Piano Concerto in B Flat." I used "Tonight We Love" as the vid title because I wanted to present the beautiful lyrics to this arrangement. Thanks for your comment!

Thanks for posting this. Although well known as "Tonight We Love", I believe the actual title used at the time was "Piano Concerto In B Flat".

Ah Yes! and now I remember Freddy Martin recorded the fabulous Rachmaninoff Concerto which I'll upload if anyone is interested.
