That's what's good about him. He's strictly about critical analysis. That's very important if you take what's going on in the world seriously. Chomsky isn't a charismatic entertaining figurehead. That's why he wrecks Buckly in this interview. Noam just tries to speak matter of factly while Buckly, without success, struggles to maintain his image as a delightful man of condescending British wit. This interview did not help his cause. I here he was quite pissed that it had been arranged.

Regardless of whether you agree with him or not, I think one thing we can all agree on is that Chomsky is probably the most boring person of our lifetime.

Moreover, let me submit that it is "delusional"--and naive--to believe that conversations of the referenced caliber are not productive. To the contrary, the fact that you are excercised by it is evidence to the contrary. And, I like to see you buzz about like an Africanized Bee! Bzzzbzzz. One last question: What redeeming value do you presume in your observation of my age? If the crux of your argument is based upon that observation, I would suggestion you go home, practice your polemics. Bzzz

Should I take from your response to my comments, despite your protestation that you are "not one for these arguments", that you really intended to say that you DON'T HAVE THE ERUDITION REQUISITE TO DISCUSS THE MATTERS SUBJECT TO MESSRS. CHOMSKY'S AND BUCKLEY'S SCRUTINY? Listen, it's okay to be ignorant; afterall, you typify such well by your platitudes. But no need to get angry.

you're a fantastic piece of shit dude. youre 39? pathetic. im not one for these arguments so ill just leave you with three questions. what good came out of this "conversation"? what action was taken to make use of their beliefs? and lastly, how the fuck could these two guys know absolutely anything about why certain governments do certain things? they're drawing certainties out of issues that lie well within the realm of possibility. seems delusional to me. how bout you dickhead?

I like how Chomsky is permitting Buckley to get away with no bullshit at all. Buckley is clearly a gifted eristic, well-capable of outperforming most, but that only serves to further establish Chomsky's preternatural equanimity and peerless facility with the material.
