I agree completelywith MichaelRMcCoy. What irks me is when people bash the Cat Stevens videos saying hes some radical Islamic terrorist. I feel if they want to do that, they should go to the Yusuf Islam videos--although it shouldnt be done at all. It seems to me that the Rushdie incident was a gross misinterpretation.

Like all of us, he's likely mellowed and sees more clearly with age - but he's been a compassionate, contemplative and selfless person from the beginning...He was compassionate as Cat Stevens...but as Yusuf Islam he supports the fatwa against Salman Rushdie.

The man is the same, regardless of his monikers. Like all of us, he's likely mellowed and sees more clearly with age - but he's been a compassionate, contemplative and selfless person from the beginning. A true man of conscience. And this has been, and continues to be evident in his music. Peace bro
