that's because we sighted people know what it's like, a blind person had they been born that way never seen anything in their whole life so they don't know what they're missing same with deaf people, I think it would be more tragic to lose your sight or hearing when u could see or hear before than to be born that way.

Without trying to be patronising, I feel for people who are blind or deaf, because not being able to see beautiful things like colours and scenery would be awful. And not being able to hear music...I couldn't bare that.

I can see your point, but if he had made peace with his condition he might no longer long to have what he didn't have. He is who is was and he might have been simply happy with that. His life before she came along wasn't so bad.

I love Val Kilmer, but hate to say it, what ruined this movie for me, was one of the most ridiculous lines ever spoken in a movie, "have you ever wondered what it would be like to see?" Duh!!! The man is blind, like he hasn't spent his entire life wondering? Stupid, stupid, question. Stupid, stupid line.

I love this song. At the theater almost nobody got up during the credits. You could tell they were enjoying the music. I know I went out a bought a few Diana Krall CDs.
