juaqin rodrigo himself admitted that this version was the best one he ever heard. i think the flamenco had a role in that..

However, many other excellent guitarists, such as Bream, Williams and Yepes did record the piece. It is good to have some new interpretation from flamenco, but that was not the intent of the composer. This is just something to remember. :) ~Kaimi

I think this version is very nice, it is a different interpretation of the piece, but it is important to remember this piece was not written for flamenco guitar, it was written for classical guitar. Rodrigo dedicated this piece to a classical guitarist, Regino Sainz de la maza. Unfortunatly it was not Segovia due to the physical distance between Rodrigo and Segovia at the time it was written. Consequently Segovia never recorded it, and we are at a lost for that.
