I use melodyne to work out harmonies and stuff; however I always go and sing each harmony and then pitch correct it. I don't think this changes music history that much, look at audio quantizing and beat detective on pro tools, shouldn't a real drummer know how to play in time? Sure, but it's just to get it that extra bit tighter. And with this, to make the singer a little more in tune. I produce punk rock music and use, no-one who listens to it can tell, neither can I!

I've seen a more recent video of Tayfun King who is thinner. Any info on him? He's HOT!

Direct Note Acces will change music history! and will create new interesting stuff for lawers it's release date will be a historic one like that of the of the creation of the multitrackrecorder...digital reverb...midi....FM-synthese...timestretching (blew my mind in 1985)...and autotune in 1999

it can, but its not a precice science... and it is only in terms of formants... not the pronounciation of each word and the power behind it...

It CAN change the tone of the voice. Well, Other programs can.

That doesn't matter. Studios use melodyne on any singer, no matter what the style of music.

todays pop music is probably 20% about the music and 80% about the celebrity and all the other crap. You wouldnt hear a live rock band use it. It doesnt change the tone of someones voice so its really just saving studio time and money for professional musicians. For all you getting so pissy about it stop listening to shit pop music.

DONT MISQUOTE ME. you've got mail. Also, I was never a "real engineer" so get over it. Are you following me?
awesomesauce2000 (June 28th, 2008 @ 2:14 am)
Once you were a real engineer, now you spend your days leaving about a dozen comments on every video featuring Melodyne in which you rant about how only sucky artists use it.
