Just saw the Kirov's version of Nutcracker in Los Angeles last week. The most morose and boring Nutcracker I've ever seen. The Kirov has seen better days. You know there is a problem when the very company that premiered the Nutcracker can't put together an interesting Russian Trepak!

i love this peace, the bass has a decent part.

you have no idea how happy I am that we don't have this choreography. our studio uses kirov's choreography (changed up of course..) and russian is one of the few variations that got changed thank the lord!

Trepak is, was, and always shall be my favorite part of this ballet. Stunning!

What a beautiful ballet. This is one of the best ones I've seen.
