5 year mark? what do u mean by that? well..i gotta say...even if its "only" 3 out of 1000 [btw..never heard this statistics], it aint matter. and why? because the concequences of being one of those 3-are SO HARSH that it doesnt worth even taking that risk! its better staying bald, than being 'dick-less'! :\ the risk is basically-losing your status as a man. no woman will go out\marry u. and anyways,to be stuffing chemicals into your body for the rest of your life?and if u stop-u lose all u kept

For younger patients, the key is to start medical treatment (like Propecia, Minoxidil, Laser Therapy, etc.) to stop the hair loss process. The earlier you start those treatments, the better. You can always have a transplant later on, but you can't go back in time and protect the hair you had once it's gone!

Depends on the size of the session and healing treatments you choose.

Honestly pretty rare, though.

The non-invasvie medical treatments like minoxidil (Rogaine) and Propecia are designed to stop the progression of hair loss. Transplants restore hair where the follicles are 'dead and gone,' the medications protect the hair you have--it is a multi-therapy or multi-modality approach to hair loss that works best. Without medication, you'll need more transplants for sure.

The linear scars today are hidden with a trichophytic closure. This allows hair to grow through the scar, camouflaging it. Other patients will have the FUE procedure or "Extraction" process where there is no scalpel or stitches--it is minimally invasive.

If your hair is short, and you keep it buzzed, you will need the hair transplant procedure called "FUE" or Follicular Unit Extraction. This is where we take one group of follicles at a time without a scalpel or stitches. The WSVN news video is on youtube called FOX or FUE procedure. It leave no visible scarring that is seen with the naked eye.

No. You do not need a haircut prior to hair transplant surgery. You can actually get a haircut about two weeks after the procedure.

Actually, many of our patients fly in from Europe, Asia and South America. Patients will stay for about one week to have some healing treatments after their procedures. By the time they fly back, they are completely healed.
