They are right, it's now late 2008, and we are still in Iraq and Afghanistan. Sometimes war is not really a choice to go to war, as much as it is a choice to withstand approaching evil. But demonic insanity always pursues the decision. We continue to live our lives from day to day in relative freedom, paid for in part by the godless bloodshed of millions - and for the most part we don't even blink an eye at it. They were right, nothing changes on New Year's Day.

lol.. U2 formed in 1976, Coldplay formed in 1997. U2 is So much bigger than Coldplay, its not even worth comparing. Dont get me wrong, I love coldplay but U2 is a lot better IMO. U2's sound has changed SO much, Coldplay has only recently started to change their sound... I think U2 is a lot more flexible too, they can make rock out, write love songs, or songs that are sort of dark. Coldplay usually sticks to their same formula... Now, Viva La Vida & Death and All His Friends IS a change.

Heh. U2 was around -before- Coldplay, therefore we don't have to imagine the music without them. We can just remember. Coldplay's good, yes; I don't know if I'd call them miraculous, but they're good. You should know that they're very heavily influenced by U2; the two bands even did a collaboration, a while ago. It came out very well. I don't think there is a "U2 age" either, they seem to have moved very well through these past thirty years without going out of style or anything.
