Blowfly - Rapp Dirty (1980)

Back

In this clip is Blowfly - Rapp Dirty ( 1980 ) Song titles: Rapp Dirty - Blowfly's Rapp - Rap Dirty The year was 1980 NOT 1965 ! ** If anyone has the original, real and authentic 1965 version of Rap Dirty please post it on YOUTUBE. Clarence Reid - Blowfly's 1965 soul song Rap Dirty was not the first rap or song out. He was probably the first recording artist with soul talking. These talented entertainers, Shirley Ellis "The name game", Pigmeat Markham "Here comes the judge", Sugar Hill Gang "Rapper's Delight" & Blowfly did not have the first Rap/Hip Hop song out. Blowfly's soul song Rap Dirty in 1980 was not the first rap or (nasty/nasty rap) song out. There is no question that these artist were, and are very talented singers and vocalist with early soulful influences. King Tim III (Personality Jock) is the VERY FIRST RAP HIP HOP song on wax/vinyl Comedians,Soul,Rock and Reggae artist from the past rhyming their words, soul talking and telling jokes is not Rap/Hip Hop music. They may have been very talented with their work. But they were not Rap/Hip Hop artist with a recording contract in modern (Rap) music 1979-present day. It's extremely IGNORANT and Foolish to call the word play & rhythmic speech music 40+ years ago Rap/Hip Hop music. There may have been some influences from previous Soul,Rock and Reggae artist from the past. There is positively and absolutely no question about that fact. But the truth is that you cannot change music history! I was in high school when all the early rap hits came out. I was there ,and lived through the birth of Rap/Hip Hop and it was a fun time! Rap/Hip Hop artist like these made it happen! Kurtis Blow , Kool Herc & the Herculoids,Spoonie G,Funky Four Plus One, Grandmaster Flash & The Furious 5, The Nigga Twins, Clark Kent, D.ST, DJ Coke La Rock,DJ Junebug,Love Bug Starski ,The Treacherous Three,The Sequence,Lady B,Jocko,Ron Hunt,Lady D,Afrika Bambaataa & Cosmic Force,Jimmy Spicer,Tanya Winley etc. The names go on and on! King Tim 3rd Apparently, King Tim III (Personality Jock) was copyright-registered during the summer of 1979. Rapper's Delight, a song that is thought to be the first rap track was registered late fall 1979. Legally and officially Rapper's Delight was NOT the first Rap/Hip Hop record. Blowfly was not the first rapper for the Rap genre. He did a 1960's word rhyme to his music at that time & genre, that was not rap music. You cannot be ignorant and try to change history! The history making first ever rap record/song was King Tim III (Personality Jock) done by Rap pioneer Mr. Tim Washington from New York in 1979 Music by The Fatback Band. So many are clueless about this fact in music history. Rappers Delight released months later was not the first rap song/record regardless of it's commercial success at that time. Many would like to dismiss this fact, but you cannot change music history! I was there ,and lived through the birth of Hip hop.It was a fun time. A multi million dollar industry that continues today. I'm a big time fan of Blowfly's music! He is a very talented entertainer and has been a very big influence to so many in the music industry. He continues to tour and release some very good material that I would recommend checking out! Check out his sites on the internet.
