Wspomnij mnie !, Italian tango Creola - Sława Przybylska (13)

The song „Wspomnij mnie !" (Remember about me) has been sung in Poland through decades by all generations since 1929 and actually is regarded as "a Polish hit". And no one cares about the fact that it is an old Italian tango titled "Creola", music by Ripp (L.Miaglia) to which the Polish poet Marian Hemar wrote lyrics with intention that that song in the new version would be performed by Maria Modzelewska, an actress and a singer, who would become soon a wife of the poet. In 1958, "Creola-Wspomnij mnie" was recorded for Polish Radio and for Polskie Nagrania by Sława Przybylska who at that moment was starting her carrier. Attached an old Italian card: "FIOR TRICOLORE".
