(July 23)[Notes:ANCHOR VOICE] It was a true heavy weight fight, with hurricane dolly pummeling the popular tourist destination south padre island for hours Wednesday...By the time the storm made landfall it was an impressive category 2 hurricane.. Much stronger than most people had anticipated..Those winds took their toll tearing the roofs off of several buildings.. And forcing storm surge into the road ways...By midday padre boulevard the main drag through town was completely underwater... and nearly every stoplight looked like this one....Power is out to the entire island and dozens of transformers blew up...While many people stayed on the island during the storm, most stayed inside during it's height..
