Konami - Metal Gear Solid 4: Assassin's Solid

Back

Here is a video showing the April Fool's Day video Konami and Ubisoft made with Solid Snake as being Altair from Assassin's Creed. From what I read, this feature WILL be available on MGS4 when it releases. Gamers can actually put Snake in an Altair costume in Metal Gear Solid 4 as part of a collaboration with Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed. Does this mean we'll be seeing reciprocal costume exchanges in the next Creed adventure? Maybe. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS GAME! MGS4 Information: Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is an upcoming stealth action video game in the popular Metal Gear series. Directed by Hideo Kojima, Shuyo Murata and Yoji Shinkawa, Guns of the Patriots is currently being developed by Kojima Productions exclusively for the PlayStation 3 video game console. The game is being designed around the motto "No Place to Hide!". MGS4 will reportedly be the last Metal Gear game developed by Hideo Kojima, and the last game in the series starring Solid Snake. The game will be released worldwide on Thursday, June 12, 2008. More Infromation: (taken from: http://www.ps3fanboy.com/2008/05/13/assassins-solid-is-real/) Do you remember back around the time of April Fool's seeing this video depicting Snake in an Altair costume? That was hilariously good fun. Of course, we all thought that was just a nicely played joke; however, it isn't a joke. It's reality. Gamers can actually put Snake in an Altair costume in Metal Gear Solid 4 as part of a collaboration with Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed. Does this mean we'll be seeing reciprocal costume exchanges in the next Creed adventure? Maybe. This is just one of the many tie-ins revealed at today's MGS4 Completion Ceremony held in Japan. MGS4 is going all out with the advertising collaborations: celphones, iPods, motorcycles, and energy drinks. We just hope all this in-game advertising is subtle (it probably will be unless Snake starts flashing cheesy grins at the screen with product in hand). It's good to hear that the game is officially celebrated as done. Now, all we need to do is wait for June 12. Plot: Set in 2014, five years after the "Big Shell Incident" (the events of the Plant chapter from Metal Gear Solid 2), Metal Gear Solid 4 portrays a world where the restriction of military intervention on foreign soil has been eased, fueling the need for private military companies (PMCs) to fight proxy wars for business purposes. Nanotechnology has become prominent, both to enhance the capabilities and enforce the loyalty of mercenaries. The nanos that are in the PMCs are called "Sons of the Patriots" or "SOP". The five largest of these PMCs are owned by a single mother company named Outer Haven, which is operated by Liquid Ocelot. Amassing an army whose manpower rivals that of the United States, Liquid prepares to launch an armed insurrection. With the world once again in crisis, a rapidly aging and disillusioned Solid Snake is deployed into the Middle East by Roy Campbell to terminate Liquid. Guns of the Patriots will take place in five locations throughout the world, including the Middle East, South America, and Eastern Europe. Review: The game has currently received one review, receiving 10 out of 10 from Official UK PlayStation Magazine, commenting Metal Gear Solid 4 "shifts gears constantly, innovating again and again".
