Lost Odyssey Trailer

Back

'Lost Odyssey' is one of three RPGs currently in development (slated for a tentative release date in Europe: january 2007) by Mistwalker for the Xbox 360 (the others are 'Blue Dragon' and 'Cry On'). In Lost Odyssey the player takes control of Kaim, a man who has been sentenced to live for 1,000 years. The game's storyline takes you through Kaim's life as he lives through multiple generations, becomes a part of many families, falls in and out of love and gets into conflicts. All this is set within a world that is on the verge of a "mystical industrial revolution," where mankind has attained dark powers. You will be able to challenge other gamers within this world via Xbox Live®. Lost Odyssey's story is being penned by the award winning Japanese novelist, Kiyoshi Shigematsu who is working directly with the game's producer Hironobu Sakaguchi on the story sequences. Heading up the artistic demands of the title is famed Japanese comic artist, Takehiko Inoue, while famed composer Nobuo Uematsu has been recruited to create a more contemporary soundtrack. Mistwalker is developing the title, but code work has been outsourced to a studio named Feel Plus, a subsidiary of Microsoft created specifically to aid Mistwalker. Former employees of Microsoft's Square are also involved. A playable demo of the game was shown at the Tokyo Game Show 2006, and was made available with the November issue of 'Famitsu Weekly'. Xbox® and Xbox Live® are both registered to Microsoft.
