Voices from the Sky, Monitoring AO-51

Back

Hi youtubers ! This is my second attempt to monitor spacecraft using very little means : my old and reliable Yupiteru MVT7100 fitted with a Diamond RH799 telescoping whip. This time i was located in north east France and tried to receive the ham radio satellite AO-51 (formerly AMSAT-Echo). During this pass the satellite apogee was 87° above my location; i could not imagine better receive conditions. However AO-51 transmits at a relative power (about 10 or 15W) this i why i could only get 3 minutes of QRM'ed voice within the 15 minutes pass. http://www.amsat.org/amsat-new/echo/ Bonjour à tous, Voici ma seconde tentative de reception d'engins spatiaux avec mes petits moyens : mon bon vieux Yupiteru MVT7100 équipé d'une antenne telescopique Diamond RH799.
